The family of a Gold Coast man who was last seen seven days ago are appealing for anyone with information to contact police.

Geoff Rayner, 53, was last seen on Allandale Entrance in Mermaid Waters about 8am on May 8.

He has not been seen or heard from since.

Queensland Police and family hold concerns for Mr Rayner’s welfare, as his disappearance is out of character.

It’s understood he left home without his phone and his wallet.

Police believe Mr Rayner’s is travelling in a white Toyota LandCruiser with Queensland registration 390GX9 and may be heading to Tenterfield in NSW.

His family have been travelling across the region for several days in an effort to find him.

Sharing on social media, Mr Rayner’s fiancee Carmen May said they’d received information the 53-year-old man was seen crossing the border at Tugun heading into NSW about 10.40am on Wednesday.

Ms May said if they found Mr Rayner’s car, that might lead the search party to his whereabouts.

SES is fully aware of Geoff being missing and is on full stand by,” she stated on social media.

The moment we have a confirmed sighting of Geoff’s white Prado, SES will send a full team by air or ground to track it down.”

Mr Rayner is described as caucasian in appearance, about 180cm tall with light brown hair and green eyes.

Ms May said her family were determined to find Mr Rayner.

“I personally want to thank my aunt and brother who have flown interstate to help with the search and my two amazing daughters, daughter-in-law and son-in-law who have taken time from work, lived on no sleep, handed out flyers and driving thousands of kilometres and not to mention put your lives on hold to search for my love Geoff Rayner,” she said.

“My daughters have given up their Mother’s Day to be in an interstate motel only to wake and return back to our search.

“I am so blessed to have you and love you all more than you know.”

Anyone who has seen Mr Rayner, or the LandCruiser he is driving, is urged to contact police immediately.

A GoFundMe has also been set up to help Mr Rayner’s family in their search for answers.

“Family and friends have been searching for him ever since using leads that we have gathered via social media,” campaign organiser Michelle Howard said.

“As you can imagine the costs of fuel, hotels and food is adding up not to forget the cost of not being able to work while they are searching.

“We are asking for any help you can give to allow Geoff’s family to continue to look for him, as they won’t give up until they have found him.”
