Four men have been stabbed during violent Gold Coast home invasion

FOUR men were injured, one critically, during a home invasion on the Gold Coast suburb of Pacific Pines on Sunday night.

Three men were stabbed once each and were taken to hospital in a stable condition, but a fourth man was critically injured after suffering three stab wounds.

Police said an unknown number of people forced their way into the Bayrick St home about 9.10pm on Sunday night and assaulted the occupants.

The injured men, aged in their 20s and 30s, were taken to Gold Coast University Hospital.

Nine News reported police were investigating whether drugs played a role in the incident. They had not been able to speak to the victims, and didn’t have a description of the attackers.

Meanwhile, police are investigating reports of a shot being fired at a unit complex in the Gold Coast suburb of Broadbeach.

Officers responded to the reports about 8pm on Sunday and declared a crime scene at the Albert Avenue complex but had not located a firearm.
