A brazen thief has been caught shamelessly stealing from an adult store over the Easter long weekend.
A brazen thief has been caught on shop CCTV stealing an X-rated object over the Easter long weekend.
The man was caught pinching the eight inch dildo on Easter Saturday afternoon at the Love Heart adult store in Toowoomba, Queensland.
The footage, which was later posted on social media, shows the man strolling into the store wearing a Bulls Chicago hoodie, white cap and carrying a Coles shopping bag, picking up the dildo and inspecting it before concealing it in his clothes.
Love Heart manager Ash Hedges described the robbery as “incredibly disappointing”.
“Everybody is doing it hard at the moment and we are in the same position,” she told news.com.au.
“For us as a business it is always disappointing when someone does that. Everybody pays but there is always someone that feels they don’t have to.”
She described business as very “up and down” at the moment.
A Queensland police spokesman said the were investigating the robbery with initial investigations indicating the man entered the adult store on James Street, South Toowoomba and concealed the item under his clothing.
“Upon his exit, the man activated the store’s security alarm, refusing to remove the concealed item when asked by the shop assistant and left the shop on foot,” the spokesman said.
No one was physically injured in the robbery according to Queensland Police.
Social media users were not impressed with the man’s antics.
One wrote they couldn’t believe how many people are stealing sex toys lately.
“Can’t they just go and pay for it, don’t they get it,” the person asked.
One person even wrote they would have paid for it for the man to save him the embarrassment.
“Damn poor man I would of brought him the bl***y thing what are ppl doing these days?,” the person wrote. “Must of (sic) promised the Mrs hey”.
While another joked “Only in Toowoomba. What’s the go with all the weirdos.”
