Cops have charged an 18-year-old man after the brother of former bikie Ben “Notorious” Geppert was stabbed to death in a Gold Coast park.

He was charged this afternoon over the death of Harry Geppert, the brother of former Hell’s Angel bikie Ben ‘Notorious’ Geppert.

Overnight, Ben promised to “make the person pay” on his Instagram account, he’s now been warned by police not to take the law into his own hands.

Police and emergency services were called to Frascott Park at Varsity Lakes at 5.40pm after reports of an assault.

Mr Geppert, 17, died at the scene from “significant” stab wounds to his back. Police say he was fatally stabbed during a wild melee involving up to eight people.

Police say two carloads of teens had came across Harry near Frascott Park.

Police allege the men assaulted the teenager and that during the attack he was stabbed a number of times with a bladed weapon, which has not been found.

Just before 10pm last night, Ben Geppert took to his fashion line Instagram page to mourn his little brother’s death, promising to avenge him.

Geppert promised earlier this month to pursue fashion and put his “gangster” days behind him.

“Rest in paradise Harry Geppert. I love you my little brother! I love you more than anything regardless of the things that have gone on in our family your (sic) still my blood and I promise I won’t rest till (sic) I have made this person pay,” he wrote.

Later, Geppert thanked everyone for their kind messages and said he was “crushed and heartbroken”.

“I lost my 17-year-old brother tonight,” he wrote.

“I have watched mates and close people die around me but nothing compares to the feeling of loosing (sic) my little brother! Harry you where (sic) Geppert, a soldier, and I will make sure your name will live on the way it should.”

Geppert also took issue with the way the media had reported on his younger brother’s death.

“RIP Harry! I wish I could of been there to help you I would of never let this happen,” he wrote.

“RIP my brother I love you. I won’t stop till (sic) I sort this Harry I promise you.”

It was only days ago that Geppert promised to turn to fashion after he realised there was “no happy ending” in crime.

“There’s only two places you end up, that’s in a grave or in jail,” he told 9News.

Geppert’s fiance Allaina Vader also posted a tribute for the teenager.

“We are shattered,” she wrote, accompanied by three broken heart emojis.

“I’m lost for words... overwhelmed. My heart is broken for Ben,” she said in another post.

“You were a little kid only 17 years young, I thought we would have had time to talk again... I’m sorry this happened to you. I wish we were there for you. I feel sick.”

However, police have warned the former bikie to stand down.

“If he even thinks about that, there are going to be consequences,” Acting Detective Superintendent Brendan Smith told reporters.

Police said last night’s incident had started as the result of a “petty” grudge and escalated out of control.

“Unfortunately, it appears to be a group of youths arguing over a previous incident,” Detective Superintendent Smith told reporters on Thursday. “People do not understand the consequences of their actions and it has led to very tragic circumstances; I feel for the family.”

Police spent last night combing the area for suspects, confirming they had taken an 18-year-old man into custody after he surrendered himself to police.

Police are still seeking dashcam or CCTV footage of the incident, and are keen to speak to any witnesses.

Acting Detective Superintendent Smith told reporters yesterday there were “conflicting” stories from witnesses.

“We are keen to talk to anyone who was in the area at the time. Particularly anyone who may have been walking their dog or cars going past with dashcams,” he said.

“It is unclear at the point what the cause of death is but it certainly looks like it is suspicious.”

Gold Coast City Council staff who monitor the park’s network of CCTV cameras have been contacted and are reviewing footage from this evening.

“I have been in contacted our CCTV monitoring staff and they are going through all vision possible to assist police with their inquiries,” area councillor Hermann Vorster told the Gold Coast Bulletin.

Geppert and Vader have had numerous, notorious run-ins with the law over the years.

The former Hells Angel enforcer was a prominent figure in the Gold Coast underworld over the past two years.

Geppert made headlines last year over a wild on-camera brawl with a rival bikie in a KFC carpark on the Gold Coast and his public feud with ex-bikie Ben “Kaos” Peachy.

Speaking to ex-Nomads president Moudi Tajjour in a podcast called Can’t Fight Fate earlier this year, Geppert revealed the infamous fast-food brawl came after weeks of online taunting from a rival.

He said the fight wasn’t an isolated incident and came after weeks of tension — adding the rival Mongols Motorcycle Club president was “calling him out” on social media.

Geppert said he had no idea why he was being targeted.

“I swear I’ve got a target on my back, some c**t’s tattooed it on me,” Geppert said.

“I don’t even know who this f**kwit was, I just seen this c**t tagging me, so I did a bit of research and he was the Mongols president.”

Geppert was handed a six-month prison sentence, suspended for three years, for the brawl.

Geppert later claimed it was his fiance Vader who encouraged him to fight, telling him at the KFC to “get out of the car and have a crack”.
