Surf instructor charged with indecent treatment of children

A man has been charged with indecently treating two young children while working as a surfing instructor.

A surf instructor has been charged with indecently treating children in Queensland.

Police will allege a 26-year-old man committed offences against two children, who were known to him in a professional capacity in the surfing industry.

It’s understood the offences were committed since August 2023 in locations across Queensland, including Broadbeach, Coolum Beach, Yaroomba and the greater Noosa area.

Police arrested the Peregian Springs man on Sunday, December 15 and have charged him with 12 counts of indecent treatment of children and three counts of wilful exposure.

He is set to appear at Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Monday.

“Detectives are continuing to investigate this matter further and are appealing to anyone who may have experienced similar to come forward,” a Queensland Police statement read.
