Superintendent Douglas McDonald said both officers worked at the Toowoomba Property Crime Squad and had been investigating reports of stolen trucks at Oakey earlier on Wednesday.

He said shortly after the two officers were struck in Meringandan, the 45-year-old driver of the truck allegedly hit another two police cars and came to a stop on Paradise Road, Goombungee.

Superintendent McDonald said two police officers suffered minor injuries caused by the airbags in both cars being deployed during the ramming.
