Queensland bus driver charged with 117 alleged child sex offences
Police allege the man preyed on teenagers during his time employed as a bus driver.
A former bus driver has been charged with 117 historic child sex offences after allegedly abusing at least 15 teenagers.
The 55-year-old man from the Moreton Bay area north of Brisbane was initially charged in October last year, after a woman contacted police and accused him of abusing her when she was a teenager.
A search of the man’s home allegedly turned up child exploitation material.
Queensland Police investigations have since identified more alleged victims, all known to the man.
Police allege the abuse occurred between 1992 and 2022 in the Moreton area.
The 15 children were all aged between 13 and 15 at the time of the alleged offending.
The man has been charged with 117 offences, including 19 counts of rape and carnal knowledge (child under 16) and 54 counts of indecent treatment of a child under 16.
He’s due in Redcliffe Magistrates Court on July 17.
Police are urging any other alleged victims to come forward; reports can be made to 131 444, or online.
