POLICE are searching for a shirtless man in connection with the fatal attack on a 48-year-old following a confrontation on a Brisbane street.

POLICE have renewed calls to find a mystery male jogger following the death of a man in an alleged one-punch attack in Brisbane.

Timothy Lang, 48, died in the Princess Alexandra Hospital on Monday afternoon after his life support was turned off.

Mr Lang had been admitted to hospital on Saturday morning after being punched by the jogger following an “exchange of words” on a South Brisbane street.

Police have released CCTV footage of the man they want to speak with which was captured as he walked past the nearby Fox Hotel.

They have also appealed for witnesses to the incident that took place around 10.15am in Melbourne Street.

The jogger is described as about 170cm tall, with short dark hair and was shirtless, but wearing black running shorts with a red top tucked in to the waistband.
