Police probe launched after teen, 16, killed in horror car crash west of Sunshine Coast
A police probe has been launched after a teenager died in a fatal car crash overnight.
A teenager has died after being struck by a car west of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
Emergency services arrived at the scene a short time after a hatchback vehicle crashed into the teen, 16, about 11.50pm on Sunday.
He was transported in a critical condition to Nambour Hospital but was later declared dead.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 24-year-old woman, was not physically injured.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
They are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed or may have dashcam/CCTV of the area around the time of the incident to come forward.
