Police appeal launched after woman allegedly knocked unconscious and sexually assaulted
Queensland police have released an image of a man who they hope can assist with their inquiries into a horror sexual assault near Brisbane.
Police have appealed to the public to help identify a man who could assist them with inquiries after a woman was allegedly knocked unconscious, dragged into a toilet block north of Brisbane and sexually assaulted.
The 25-year-old woman was out for her evening walk and jog on Saturday at Aurora Boulevard Park in North Lakes when a man approached her from behind.
Detective Senior Constable Kim Rasker said the woman was dragged into a nearby toilet block and sexually assaulted.
“She was knocked unconscious as a result of this and that male person has fled the scene,” Detective Rasker said.
The woman was able to give an extensive description of the alleged attacker to police.
He is described as Caucasian in appearance, clean shaven, around 170cm tall and of a thin build with blonde hair.
Detective Rasker said the man also had a distinctive tattoo of an American eagle on his left tricep and spacer-style earrings in both ears.
“(He) was wearing a blue T-shirt, shorts and some thongs,” she said.
Anyone with information that could identify the man is encouraged to contact police.
