A man was allegedly hit in the head with a bottle and then stabbed in the back during a suspected road rage attack on the Gold Coast Highway.
Police are investigating an altercation between the occupants of two vehicles at a Broadbeach intersection on Saturday night.
Around 10.40pm, three men were in a vehicle stopped at traffic lights between Hooker Blvd and Pacific Fair Dr when a bottle, allegedly thrown from a nearby car, struck the back passenger window.

Police say a group of males from the other car then descended on the injured man and allegedly stabbed him with an unknown object before fleeing the scene in a white sedan.
Police intercepted the sedan on a nearby street, where seven alleged occupants of the vehicle fled on foot but were quickly arrested.
Three boys aged 16, another aged 17, and three men aged 18, 19 and 25 were taken into police custody and are assisting investigators.
The victim was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
