Man arrested after woman struck with arrow in Ipswich supermarket

A man who allegedly fired arrows as he walked down an Ipswich street, striking a woman in a supermarket, has been arrested.

A man has been arrested after he allegedly fired arrows while walking down an Ipswich street, hitting a woman inside a supermarket.

Police say they started receiving calls about the armed man shortly after 4.30pm after he was spotted firing arrows on South Station Road in Booval.

Officers were then called to an ALDI supermarket following reports he was inside.

Police ask anyone who may have seen the man or has footage to contact them.

Traffic diversions are currently in place.
