A yellow Lamborghini has been seized from a Gold Coast property after it was seen driving at more than double the speed limit.

The luxury car was reported travelling at a high speed three times between August 22 and 28, Queensland Police said.

“It cannot be overstated the potential devastating impact of driving behaviour such as what is alleged to have occurred,” Road Policing Investigations Unit Acting Sergeant Deb McDougall said on Saturday.

The car was seized at a Paradise Point apartment complex after a raid on September 22.

Two other men, both from Paradise Point, were also fined.

A 33-year-old man was nabbed going 124km/h in a 50 zone at Paradise Point on August 28, police said.

The Queensland road policing sergeant urged drivers to consider the consequences of their actions when they get behind the wheel.

“We’ve seen a significant increase in road fatalities across the state already this year. There is no such thing as safe speeding – speeding kills,” Sgt McDougall said.
