Feebie McIntosh alleged murder: police call for dashcam footage, witnesses
Footage of a solid man dressed in black could form key evidence in solving the alleged murder of a young woman in Queensland.
Footage of a solid man dressed in black could form key evidence in solving the alleged murder of a much loved young woman on the Sunshine Coast over the weekend.
Currimundi woman Feebie McIntosh, 25, was allegedly shot in the head during an incident at a home on Coolum St at Dicky Beach on Friday morning.
Police have already charged two 30-year-old men in relation to the incident.
Investigators are seeking to speak with anyone who was on the Nicklin Way, northbound, from the Caloundra area to Bokarina between 8.30am and 10.15am on Friday.
In addition, anyone who was at Brightwater shops, Mountain Creek area between 10.20 and 11am should contact police.
Officers also pleaded on Wednesday for dashcam footage or witness accounts from those locations, relating to movements of a solidly built man, dressed in black, carrying a black duffel bag walking along the road that day, as part of their investigation.
Police said after the alleged shooting “disturbance”, a 58-year-old man took Ms McIntosh to the local hospital, where she later died.
Bradley Ian Cotten, 30, was arrested on Friday afternoon after police intercepted his vehicle on Fitzwilliam St at Sippy Downs. Mr Cotten has been charged with murder.
Police say Ms McIntosh and Mr Cotten were known to each other, however initial investigations suggest the alleged murder was not domestic-violence related.
It’s understood the pair were together visiting the home where the alleged shooting took place and both were friends with the woman who owned the property.
The woman is assisting police with their investigation.
Mr Cotten, who resides at Narangba, 34km north of Brisbane, is due to face Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Saturday.
On Sunday a second man, Brandon Grant, also 30, was charged with murder, unlawful possession of a category A weapon, two counts of possessing a dangerous drug and one count each of possession of tainted property, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and unlicensed driving.
Both men will be held in custody until their next court date on July 29.
Tributes for Ms McIntosh have flowed on social media, with friends describing her as a “bubbly, beautiful and caring” person.
“This never should have happened, I can’t believe it,” Cath Quinlan said.
Zac Claire remembered Ms McIntosh’s “good soul”.
He said: “Whenever I needed someone you would be there, you helped me through some of my hardest times.”
In the weeks before her death, Ms McIntosh told friends on Facebook she had received a heartwarming marriage proposal, which was contained within a find-a-word puzzle made by her boyfriend Mitch White.
It is not suggested Mr White is involved in the alleged murder.
“Your [sic] the love of my life and I can’t wait to … start our own little family,” Mr White wrote in a letter posted to Facebook alongside the proposal.
Ms McIntosh said Mr White was “the sweetest man ever”.
“The best part is, you’re all mine,” she wrote.
