Elderly Queensland man found dead, police question 32YO woman known to him

A woman is being questioned by police after a man in his 70s was found dead at a home near Brisbane on Monday.

Police are questioning a woman after a man in his 70s was found dead in a home south of Brisbane.

The 72-year-old was found unconscious at a home in Logan on Monday.

He was declared dead at the scene. Police established a crime scene at the home on Basie Court, Brown Plains.

In a statement, Queensland Police say a 32-year-old woman is “assisting police with their investigations.

“It is believed the man and woman are known to each other,” a police spokesperson said.

Investigations are ongoing. Police are calling for anyone with information to come forward. The police statement points to domestic violence services.
