A man and a woman have been charged with the murder of a 39-year-old man who was found with a stab wound to his chest in Far North Queensland earlier this month.
Police arrested a 32-year-old Jensen woman and a 37-year-old Beach Holm man this week, charging both with one count of murder and other offences.
Bodycam footage shows a policeman confronting the man, pinning him to the footpath and cuffing him.
The arrests come after a 39-year-old Aurukun man died from critical injuries he suffered at Railway Estate in Townsville on July 12.
Police allege that shortly before 4.30am, the man and woman approached the victim at an Eleventh Ave address before “seriously” assaulting him.
The duo then fled the scene in a car, police say.
About 4.50am, emergency services were called to the address and found the victim unconscious, having suffered critical injuries, including a stab wound to the chest.
