Warrant issued for former Block contestant Suzi Taylor’s arrest over repeated bail breaches
A warrant has been issued for former Block contestant Suzi Taylor’s arrest after she allegedly breached her bail more than 80 times.
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of former Block contestant Suzi Taylor after she allegedly breached her bail conditions multiple times.
Ms Taylor, whose real name is Suellen Jan Taylor, is before the courts for 107 offences, including allegedly extorting a Tinder date and holding him against his will.
More than 80 of the offences are for breaching bail.
In November the former Penthouse pet was ordered to reside with family in regional Queensland as part of her bail conditions.
However Brisbane Supreme Court was told on Friday that she had been kicked out of the home after just a month there.
While she then managed to secure accommodation at a Brisbane rehab centre, the court was told she had recently been kicked out and could now not be located.
Crown prosecutors asked for her bail to be revoked in December last year after concerns about her living arrangements were raised at Brisbane Supreme Court.
Taylor, a former Penthouse cover model and contestant on reality TV show The Block, had been given strict bail to live with her mother and stepfather.
Some of her conditions included wearing a GPS tracker, not drinking alcohol and seeking mental health treatment.
On Friday, crown prosecutor Annica Fritz said Ms Taylor’s mother had kicked her out of the family home in December.
The court was told it was unclear where Ms Taylor had been residing until January 7, when she turned up drunk at a rehabilitation centre in Brisbane.
Ms Fritz said Ms Taylor was evicted from the centre on January 12 after being found drunk again.
“Since that date her GPS tracker has gone flat and no-one knows where she is,” Ms Fritz said.
“She has demonstrated an unruly attitude to bail and has been afforded numerous opportunities.”
The court heard that Ms Taylor’s bail could not be formally revoked because the material could not be served to her.
Demi Quadrio, appearing on behalf of Gatenby Criminal Lawyers, did not oppose nor consent to the warrant being issued.
She told the court Ms Taylor had advised their office that she had located another rehab centre.
Michael Gatenby, Ms Taylor’s lawyer, had previously submitted his client had longstanding mental health issues and was seeking treatment.
