Omar Succarieh has been in custody since September 2014 charged with knowingly funding a terrorist organisation and preparing for incursions into foreign states for the purpose of engaging in hostile activities.
Succarieh was due to stand trial in the Brisbane Supreme Court next week but on Monday pleaded guilty to four foreign incursions charges.
The terrorism offences against him were also dropped by the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions.
He will be sentenced next month.
Succarieh’s lawyer Andrew Anderson said his client was relieved the prosecution had withdrawn the terrorism related charges and looked forward to the matter coming to a conclusion.
