A top Aussie surf instructor has been accused of sexually abusing two children.
Connor Lyons, 26, has been charged with 12 counts of indecent treatment of children and three counts of wilful exposure.
According to the Courier Mail, court documents have revealed grim new details of his alleged crimes.
Documents tendered to the court for Lyons’ bail hearing on Monday showed that police allege the surf instructor molested the two children, with multiple indecent touches and even bathed with one of them.
They also allege the World Surf League competitor abused one of the children during a naked massage.
Lyons is also accused of exposing his penis to both children separately.
The alleged victims told Lyons they were uncomfortable and told him to stop each time, court documents state.
The alleged victims both made complaints about Lyons within two days of each other on December 13 and 15.
Police allege that Lyons molested children after “deceiving” their parents into leaving them alone with him.
Objecting to bail, police said there was “a real threat of violence” if Lyons was released.
Lyons told acting magistrate Raelene Ellis he would abide by strict bail conditions of not speaking to children under 16, not attending a venue where children frequent and would not coach children under the age of 17.
Ms Ellis granted bail and the case was adjourned to next year with no pleas entered.
The shocking case is a spectacular fall from grace for Lyons who is a prominent identity on the Sunshine Coast and has a significant social media following.
