Police reveal hundreds of matters in brief of evidence against murder-accused hit-and-run couple to be reviewed
A man and woman are charged with the murder of a 23-year-old in an alleged love triangle hit-and-run.
A couple charged with the murder of a woman in an alleged love triangle hit-and-run face more court delays, with police needing to review hundreds of matters in the brief of evidence against them.
Larissa Rita Mae-Leigh Sant and Tyler Scott William James remain in custody on remand after being charged with the murder of Kiesha Thompson, 23, in the Logan suburb of Daisy Hill on July 19.
Ms Thompson died after allegedly being struck and killed by a silver Prado being driven by Ms Sant, 24, along Allamanda Drive.

During a brief mention on Wednesday, Beenleigh Magistrates Court was told there were still 181 matters in the brief of evidence that needed to be disclosed or “corrected”.
“Given the nature of the charges there’s obviously going to be a while,” police prosecutor Sergeant Karine Evans said.
“But I cannot give any indication to the court (how long it will take).
Sergeant Evans said the amount of material already disclosed was “significant” and would still take a fair amount of time to go through.
Mr Tyler’s new representative sought a four-week adjournment to conference his client.
But Ken Mackenzie, representing Ms Sant, asked for longer, saying the brief was not fully prepared.
Magistrate Patrina Clohessyset down the matter for a further mention on December 11, stating it should give enough time for a “clearer indication” of outstanding material.
Ms Sant and Mr Tyler were both remanded in custody with their appearances excused.
Police allege Ms Sant, who is the current partner of Mr James, used her car to strike and kill Ms Thompson on Allamanda Drive before fleeing the scene.
Ms Thompson was rushed to Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition but died hours later.
Mr James, 27, is the former partner of Ms Thompson and is accused of planning and preparing the alleged hit-and-run murder.
It is not alleged he was in the car at the time.
Police are also probing the couple’s social media activity, including several of Ms Sant’s TikTok posts on the day before the alleged incident.
Many of Ms Sant’s videos feature her lip-synching to songs or dancing.
In one video – her last post – Ms Sant is accompanied by the words: “Top 3 reasons I’m crazy: Addicted to the drama, I’m waiting for a text back, traffic.”
She posted a different video in May captioned: “Maybe I’m single, maybe I’m taken. Maybe I’m talking to your ex, maybe I’m showing him what you couldn’t. Maybe I’m home, maybe I’m not. Or maybe you should mind your own business homie.”
Mr James’s TikTok bio simply reads: “Never trusting again!”
His sole video is accompanied by a montage of images with a young child and a voiceover which says: “They say when you meet the love of your life, time stops.”
At the time of the couple’s arrests Detective Inspector Chris Knight called the posts “distressing” and said they were taking steps to get them taken down.
“It’s inexplicable,” he told reporters.
“Most importantly, the grief that causes the surviving victims of this, it’s difficult to put into words.”
