A 26-year-old woman, who was also travelling as a passenger in the Uber, and the Camry’s driver were rushed to hospital following the crash.

Mr Fursey allegedly fled the scene, causing police to issue a photo to the public of the Goodna man.

In a statement, police confirmed that Mr Fursey attended Acacia Ridge police station without incident on Monday.

He was later charged with murder and a string of other offences.

Police further allege Mr Fursey was unlawfully using a car that didn’t belong to him on May 28 – the day of the fatal crash – and had been driving while disqualified by the court.

Mr Fursey is alleged to have driven dangerously and caused grievous bodily harm to the passenger in the Uber by “excessively speeding” and that he “ought to reasonably have known the other person had been injured” but left the scene anyway.
