Child and man in his 20s suffer ‘serious burns’ after tent and swag catch fire
A child and a man in his 20s have both been flown to hospital with “significant burns” after their tent and swag caught fire.
A child has been left fighting for life after a tent and a swag in regional Queensland caught fire.
Emergency services were called to a private property in Booie, a rural area 12km northeast of Kingaroy, at about 10.20pm on Tuesday.
At the scene, paramedics found a child and a man in his 20s who had sustained “serious burns” after a tent and a swag caught fire.

The child suffered “significant burns” and was taken to Kingaroy Hospital before being flown to Queensland Children’s Hospital in a critical condition.
The man was also taken to Kingaroy Hospital before he was flown to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious condition.
Police said the fire was not suspicious and are not investigating the incident further.
