As the NRL gears up for the biggest turf war in living memory, Courier-Mail readers can pledge their allegiance with the paper.
It might only be Round 4, but it’s shaping to be the blockbuster game of the season.
Ahead of Friday’s special top-of-the-table Broncos-Dolphins derby at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium, The Courier-Mail has a special treat for diehard fans of the two unbeaten Brisbane rivals.
Friday’s Courier-Mail features an eight-page Battle wrap, with a special souvenir front page produced for both Broncos and Dolphins fans.

And The Battle isn’t just on in Brisbane – this weekend also heralds the start of a new fight for Queensland bragging rights.
In a huge round for maroon-grown rivalries, with the Broncos colliding with the Dolphins and the Cowboys clashing with the Titans, The Courier-Mail is launching a new NRL table to keep tabs on the grudge matches that matter.
From Monday, The Courier-Mail will publish a ladder keeping track of which Queensland NRL club reigns supreme.
Each of the four clubs will be awarded four points for a victory over a Queensland rival, with a bonus point for every State of Origin-eligible Maroons player who scores a try during the match.

The Courier-Mail Cup table will be updated after each round where at least one of the rivals play each other.
So far, the Broncos are in the lead with eight points – four for their win over the Cowboys in Round 2, and four bonus points for the tries scored by Maroons-eligible players Ezra Mam (2), Kurt Capewell and Reece Walsh.
The Cowboys are on two points due to tries by Jeremiah Nanai against the Broncos.
