Punter’s hilarious response to becoming instant millionaire after winning lotto
One lucky man was left lost for words after he became an overnight millionaire earlier this week.
A lucky Bundaberg man says he is “feeling pretty damn good” after becoming an instant millionaire earlier this week.
The punter won $1m after holding a division one winning entry in Weekday Windfall draw 4392 on Monday.
The man wasn’t the only Queenslander with good fortune, with the other lucky division one winning punter also from Queensland.
The Wide Bay-Burnett local had a hilarious response when officials from the Lott called him to confirm the good news.
“F*** me! F*** me!” he cheered.
“That’s unbelievable. Jesus Christ.”
The man said he was speechless and shocked.
“I don’t know what to say but I know I’m feeling pretty damn good,” he said.
“I found out about the win earlier this morning and I showed my wife and we just thought, right, what do we do with ourselves now?
“How crazy.
“Thank you so much for this phone call.”
When asked what he planned to do with his winnings, the man said he wasn’t sure.
“Ah, there’s so many things I could do. I think I’m due for a holiday!” he said.
“That would be great.
“I could buy a new car, a new house – all of the above!”
From Monday 20 May, Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto changed to a single lottery game called Weekday Windfall everywhere in Australia, except for Western Australia.
The team from Station News on Bourbong St, Bundaberg - where the lucky man purchased his winning ticket - said they were thrilled to have sold a division one winning entry in the first Weekday Windfall draw.
They said they wished the man all the best with his prize.
The winning numbers in Weekday Windfall draw 4392 were 30, 9, 25, 3, 31 and 35, and the supplementary numbers were 43 and 15.
