SENATE crossbenchers Pauline Hanson and Derryn Hinch have clashed on Sunrise after the One Nation founder defended Donald Trump over his lewd comments.
SENATE crossbenchers Pauline Hanson and Derryn Hinch have clashed on Sunrise while discussing Donald Trump’s vulgar comments.
The argument started when Hanson defended the US presidential candidate over comments in which he bragged about groping women, during the pair’s regular segment on Sunrise.
When asked if Trump should quit the race, Hanson was quick to respond.
“It was said, not on camera, it was said behind the scenes and was a tape recording,” Hanson said.

“There are a lot of men out there that say horrific things.”
Hinch had a much harsher stance on the scandal saying his behaviour was “despicable” and that he should have never been a nominee to begin with.
After the segment finished, the pair continued to argue in the halls of Parliament, with Hinch questioning Hanson’s comments on the situation.

“That you, as a woman, could even make any justification for what he has said and what he has done is just ...,” he said.
“Well, I didn’t condone what he said,” responded Hanson.
“No, you said the people of America will decide. If you are even slightly right, then God help the country and God help the world.
“The man is a sexual predator and he is a disgrace,” Hinch said before getting into a lift.
The pair are well known for their on-air clashes on Sunrise.
