Awkward moment Liberal Senator, Andrew Bragg caught picking his nose
Liberal Senator Andrew Bragg was caught picking his nose in an unflattering moment during Senate estimates.
Liberal Senator Andrew Bragg has been caught picking his nose during Senate estimates.
The unfortunate moment happened in a meeting of the Senate Environment and Communications Legislation Committee on Monday afternoon. Mr Bragg was seen picking his nose and then seemingly putting his finger in his mouth.
News.com.au has reached out to Mr Bragg’s office for comment.
2GB radio presenter, Ben Fordham joked that Mr Bragg’s behaviour was “unparliamentary” and likened it to a moment during Question Time in 2007 when Kevin Rudd was caught picking his ear and eating ear wax.
An MP at the time, Mr Rudd claimed he was scratching his chin. When pressed about it by media months later, he said that: “All of us in public and private life would wish our behaviour to be more ideal”.

Mr Bragg has been vocal in his opposition to the contentious Religious Discrimination Bill that saw five Liberal MPs – Bridget Archer, Katie Allen, Fiona Martin, Dave Sharma and Trent Zimmerman – cross the floor is support of Labor’s amendments to the bill.
Proposed by MP Rebekha Sharkie, section 38(3) of the Sex Discrimination Act would prevent religious schools and educational institutions to discriminate against the basis of someone’s sexual orientation, gender identity, marital or relationship status or pregnancy.
This comes as the original bill put forward by the Coalition was slammed for taking away the rights of transgender students by giving the right for religious schools to expel students and fire staff based on their gender identity.
