A PERTH property valuer has been killed in Bali while on holiday with friends.

Callan Jay Everts, 32, died when his scooter crashed into the wall of the Santo Paulus Church in the tourist hotspot of North Kuta on Wednesday morning this week, Perth Now reports.

Everts was riding in a scooter convoy when the crash occurred.

He had one rider in front of him and one behind him.

Reports suggested Mr Everts was not wearing a helmet, but his sister Michelle denied this to the ABC.

“We’d like to make it clear he was wearing a helmet,” she said.

“He was with his best friends when he passed. He didn’t regain consciousness.”

Everts died from head injuries in Sanglah Hospital soon after the accident.

Everts is survived by his sister, who described him as being a “fabulous uncle” to her children, his nieces and nephews.

Michelle posted a moving and emotional tribute on her Facebook wall this morning, along with a photo of the two siblings.

“Baby brother, so beloved,” she wrote.

“Callan you were a beautiful soul, so kind, so genuinely caring, so loving, so generous. You were always there for me, you’d drop everything if I needed your help and in addition to being a most beautiful brother.”
