The woman suffered a cut to the face after she was struck by a firework, with police forced to disperse a large group of people at the scene.
A woman has suffered facial injuries after being struck by a firework in Sydney’s southwest.
The 26-year-old woman was inside a shop near The Boulevarde at Punchbowl about 10.15pm on Monday when she was struck in the face.
Emergency services, who had received reports of multiple “loud bangs” in the area, treated the woman at the scene.

She was taken to Bankstown Hospital with minor injuries, including a cut to the face.
Police were forced to disperse a group of 30-40 people following the incident.
