Ugly fight erupts over $3 item in shisha shop in Punchbowl
A video has emerged of a heated confrontation between a shisha store owner and woman in Sydney’s south-west after a dispute over a $3 item.
Wild footage has emerged of the moment a furious woman clashed with a shisha store owner after he forgot to charge her for a lighter as she bought a pack of cigarettes.
Security footage from inside the Tobacco, Shisha and Coffee shop in Punchbowl, in Sydney’s south west, captured the bizarre confrontation.
The clip begins with the woman paying for her cigarettes with cash.
As she turns to leave the store, the man calls out after realising he didn’t charge her roughly $3 for a lighter in her hand.
“You saw the f***ing lighter,” the woman screams at him, while throwing what appears to be cash towards him.
“Give me my change then, give me my change, or I’ll come there and get it myself,” she continues.
“You can’t, you can’t,” the man calmly replies, as the woman proceeds to walk behind the counter, stand next to him and continue to shout.
“Give me my change, give me my money,” she says as the cashier stands up and tells the woman he will give her the change when she returns to the other side of the register.
The woman then begins banging with her fist on the counter, repeating “give me my money, give me my money now.”
“I am not leaving here until you give me my money, you’re stealing from me,” she says before snatching a $50 note from the cashier’s hand as he opens his phone.
In an attempt to stop the woman, the cashier falls off the platform he is standing on, and the woman stands closer to his face, throwing the cigarettes and lighter at him, widening her eyes and saying “your sh** is there, what are you going to do, huh”.
The woman then leaves the store, still shouting and swearing at the man as she exits.
The video was shared to Instagram, where dozens of social media users praised the store owner for staying calm and not reacting.
“Look how polite he was,” wrote one man.
“Such a weird interaction. Props to old mate for not striking her,” added another.
