So, the office was still frantic, thanks to the pups but stress levels dropped and smiles abounded, much like the puppies themselves.
The Daily Telegraph was not alone in a little puppy-love this afternoon.
Across Sydney, office worker’s hearts were conquered - even if man’s littlest best friends were asleep most of the time.
And then - marvel of marvels - Kingston and Lilly, just eight weeks old, woke up, chewing through phone lines and screwing up notepads.
The puppies, delivered by stunt Uber drivers in a moment of marketing madness, seemed non-plussed by all of the attention.
Uber teamed up with Purina’s Pets at Work to bring 15 minutes of love to anyone who opened the app and requested UberPuppies today.
They came with handlers from Purina and the Animal Welfare League and with a message about the fundraising activities of the AWL.
These puppies - and more like them - are looking for homes. Can you help? Visit the Animal Welfare League
