Two dead in horror crash involving Rural Fire Service vehicle
Two men have died after their car and a NSW Rural Fire Service vehicle crashed with four crew on board.
Two men have died after their vehicle collided with a NSW Rural Fire Service truck at around 9am on Thursday.
The crash occurred north of Lithgow, on the Castlereagh Highway near Pearsons Lookout.
The two men who died were travelling in a Ford Falcon and both died at the scene.
Four occupants of the firetruck were uninjured. The driver was taken for mandatory drug and alcohol testing.
As investigations into the crash continue, police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has dashcam footage, to come forward.
