A three-year-old boy is in a critical condition after being found unresponsive in a backyard swimming pool.

A boy is fighting for life after being pulled unresponsive from a backyard swimming pool in Sydney’s southwest.

Emergency services were called to a home in Moorebank about 6.30pm on Tuesday after reports of a three-year-old found unresponsive in a backyard swimming pool.

Paramedics attempted to resuscitate the boy.

He was taken to the Prince of Wales Children Hospital.

A spokesperson told NewsWire the boy remained in a critical condition.
Initial reports of the boy dying were incorrect.
