A BALLSY post about using a body wash on his nether regions has turned Hunter Valley man Hugh Glashoff into an internet sensation.

The 22-year-old from Singleton was having a laugh when he posted on the Original Source Australia’s Facebook page about a problem he had encountered with their Mint & Tea Tree product when he applied it below the equator.

“I began to wash my private parts, I started to notice a sudden light tingling on my ballsack witch whithin (sic) 30 second had turned it to a light burning,” he posted

“As I started to wash the body wash off it had occurred to me that the burning feeling had spread to my other private parts... Just a head up for further conplants (sic)”.

The post went viral and his phone has been running hot ever since.

“It’s a bit of a shock really, I was expecting 20 likes and probably a high five at the pub on Friday night but it’s been blown right out of proportion,” said the apprentice plant mechanic.

Mr Glashoff posted a photo of the body wash with a some feedback about the burning sensation he felt when applying to his private parts.

He said the post was “just for good humour really”.

“I saw the funny side of it, I thought my mates would see the funny side of it then share after share came along and I thought oh no, I’m gonna cop it for this.

“Your article has already been printed up and it’s on the noticeboard at work.”

Mr Glashoff said while it was nice to smell like peppermint slice it was “not worth” having to wash his family jewels in a sink with cold water for five minutes afterwards.

“It stings I won’t lie, it’s not going to kill you but it’s different,” he said.

“My Mrs told me about it and I told her to stop being such a sook, then when I tried it, it starts off and you think, oh yeah, this doesn’t feel too bad.

“And then it gets a bit spicy and after that you just want it off.”

Original Source Australia’s response has also gone viral.

The post has attracted more than 30,000 likes and a good-humoured response from Original Source Australia which offered some friendly advice.

“Cheers for the in depth message Hugh. Our Mint & Tea Tree definitely has some TINGLE to it,” the company replied to MR Glashoff.

“We’re sorry to hear about your nether regions. We do recommend not to leave on your privates for too long. How can we make it up to you. Maybe a different flavour?”

The response itself has been liked more than 13,000 times.

Mr Glashoff said there was no permanent damage beyond his ego, and a box of free bodywashes were on the way from Original Source.
