A man is believed to have stabbed his partner to death in a suspected murder-suicide in Sydney’s inner west.
Emergency services were called to the courtyard of a Conder St building in Burwood just after 8.45am on Monday following reports of a concern for welfare.
The body of a man, 21, was found in a courtyard by officers from Burwood Police Area Command.
A crime scene was established and an investigation launched.
Speaking to media on Monday afternoon, Superintendent Christine McDonald said soon after the first discovery, investigators found the body of a 21-year-old woman in a unit of the building after watching her walk towards the apartment on CCTV.

Both the man and woman are yet to be identified by police, however, The Daily Telegraph has reported the woman was a university student who came to Australia from China to study.
