Video of NSW Police officer on the DJ decks goes viral
A party was treated to a surprise cameo from a NSW police officer who decided to jump on the DJ decks and put on a show for the crowd.
Partygoers were left shocked when a NSW police officer decided to hit the DJ decks at a Sydney beach event earlier this week.
The viral footage, uploaded to TikTok on Tuesday, shows the young male officer put on the headset and mix songs at a rave, believed to be hosted at Turimetta Beach along the northern beaches.
The officer is captured in full uniform, crouched down in the tent, raising hands in the air and bowing to the crowd before leaving the party.
Young people in the background behind the officer buy into the stunt, with many dancing alongside him or trying to get a selfie.
More than 66,000 people have viewed the original video, with people commenting their approval of the officer’s attempt to join in the festivities.
“Good to see the cops having a laugh they are human too,” one person commented.
“Policing 101. Great job,” said another.
One person suggested that if the party was in the western suburbs of Sydney, there would have been a very different reaction.
“If this was in western Sydney there’d be tear gas lol,” the comment read.
On the whole, the video appears to have received a positive reaction from Aussies, with its video’s caption reading “welcome to australia where the police get on the DJ decks instead of shutting the party down”.
The official NSW Police Force TikTok account also decided to comment on the video, pointing out how much attention the video was likely to receive.
