Missing mum Liberty Ruhl and her two kids found safe and well
A NSW mother who vanished alongside her two kids sparking desperate pleas from family and friends have been found.
An Illawarra mum that vanished along with her two kids on Friday morning has been found safe and well by police.
Liberty Ruhl, 27, was last seen in Dapto about 4.30am on Friday before she was reported missing to police.
An investigation into the missing family was immediately opened and officers attached to the Lake Illawarra Police District have appealed to the public for any information related to their whereabouts.
The mother-of-two was believed to have her children, six-year-old boy Jahkai and 12-month-old girl Harmony, with her.
Following inquiries, the mum and her two kids were located about noon on Tuesday. Police did not disclose where.
“Police would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance,” a statement from the police said.
Friends and family earlier shared messages on social media in the hope she would get in touch to let them.
“Libii I need you! Please let me know you’re okay,” her sister Epiphany Ruhl wrote in the comments of the Lake Illawarra Police District Facebook post.
“She’s the most beautiful, kind hearted woman and you’d be very lucky to call her a friend,” Jordana de Lorenzo told NCA Newswire.
“She’s the kind of person to give you the clothes off her back or the last dollar in her wallet without hesitation, that’s just who she is.
“We love you Lib, whenever you’re ready. Come home.”
Another friend, Tahlia Murrell, urged Mr Ruhl that she was “not alone”.
“If you need a place to stay, you and the babies are always welcome. Stay strong,” she said, adding Ms Ruhl had been going through a ‘tough time’ lately.
“Please come home Libby, we are all so worried,” another woman named Amanda Jackson said.
Ms Jackson told the NCA NewsWire the father of the youngest child, Harmony, was particularly worried about the situation and there is no clear reason for her disappearance.
“I hope you and the babies are okay Lib. I know you’ve had so much going on lately but you are so loved, please just let someone know you’re okay,” wrote Krystal Lilly.
In one concerning detail some friends reported that Ms Ruhl had deleted her social media after she vanished.
At the time, people close to the 27-year-old say she had intentions to travel to Western Australia soon.
Anyone with information about the location of Ms Ruhl and her children is urged to contact Lake Illawarra Police on 02 4232 5599.
