Major update in search for 7mo baby missing in Illawarra region

Police held “serious concerns” for the seven-month-old baby’s welfare after it was believed he went missing with a woman.

A seven-month-old baby who was reported missing from southeastern NSW since December has been found.

The child was last sighted by authorities in the Warrawong area in December last year.

When the seven-month-old could not be located on Thursday, officers with the Lake Illawarra Police District started making inquiries as to his whereabouts.

Authorities held serious concerns for the baby’s health due to his age.

Following an extensive search by police, the infant and a woman in her 40s he was with was located on Friday.

NSW Police have thanked the public for their assistance.
