A young boy was rushed to hospital with a police escort after falling from a second-storey unit balcony.
A two-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital under police escort after he fell from a second story balcony in Sydney’s west.
Emergency services, including ambulance and police, rushed to a unit block on Crawford St in Berala just before 1pm following reports a child had fallen from a “significant height”.
The child was administered first aid at the scene, and treated for head injuries, before he was transported to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, an Ambulance NSW spokesman said.
A NSW police spokesman said officers from the Auburn Police Area Command accompanied the ambulance to hospital, in order to ensure paramedics could make the trip as quickly as possible.
Investigations remain ongoing.
