Traffic backed up 10km after multi-car crash on Princes Highway
A serious multi-vehicle crash has caused a massive traffic snarl on the Princes Highway in southern NSW.
A serious multi-vehicle crash has caused traffic chaos on the Princes Highway in southern New South Wales.
After the collisions on Mount Agony Road at Benandarah, north of Batemans Bay, both lanes were closed and traffic was being turned around at the scene.
But the Transport Management Centre says contra flow lanes are now in place and traffic is able to pass the scene slowly in both directions.
Emergency services and traffic crews remain at the scene, and congestion remains heavy.
The TMC earlier said northbound traffic had queued up to 10km and southbound traffic queued about 3km.
Motorists should exercise caution and continue to allow plenty of extra travel time.
