Toddler girl dies after being hit by car in driveway
A one-year-old girl has died after she was hit by a car in the driveway of a townhouse complex in Sydney’s west on Tuesday night.
A one-year-old girl has died after she was hit by a car in Blacktown on Tuesday night.
Emergency services were called to a townhouse complex on Kent Street about 7.30pm to reports a car had hit a child in the driveway.
When police arrived they found the toddler in critical condition.
She was treated at the scene before being taken to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, where she later died.
The driver of the car, a 40-year-old man, was treated at the scene for shock before being taken to Blacktown Hospital for mandatory testing.
A crime scene has been established at the residence and police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragic crash.
Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
