Police have released shocking surveillance footage moments after a teenager was punched and glassed in Sydney’s CBD.
Police have released shocking surveillance footage showing the moment immediately after a teenager was attacked in Sydney’s CBD.
The 15-year-old boy was walking along Barrack Street in Sydney at 3.45am Sunday when he allegedly became involved in an argument with a man.
NSW Police allege the man approached the teen and punched him in the head, knocking him to the ground.
While the 15-year-old was down, the man then hit him over the head with a glass bottle.
The teen suffered head and facial injuries as a result of the attack.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics before he was transported to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a stable condition.
In the CCTV footage released by police, the man can be seen walking along King Street moments after the attack.
The man, in his 20s, is described as being of caucasian appearance with a medium build, short black hair and a beard. In the footage, he is wearing a grey hooded jumper, black jeans and shoes, while carrying a black jacket.
He can be seen stumbling and chatting to a friend as he passes by Hotel CBD on the corner of King and York Streets.
The man is walking alongside two friends, both of whom have their faces blurred in the footage. Neither one is accused of any wrongdoing.
