The election may have been called but the remaining votes could determine whether the Coalition gets a majority government.

Gladys Berejiklian will remain Premier of New South Wales, but whether the Coalition will be able to form government in its own right remains in doubt.

Early exit polls had a the Liberal National government losing its majority, but predicted it would be in a position to form a minority government.

The Coalition may have done enough to win the 47 seats needed for a majority, with crucial seats Labor needed to win in order to force the Coalition into a hung parliament now expected to fall to the Liberals or Nationals.
