Man hit by truck in Tamworth in stable condition: identity still a mystery
Police are rushing to piece together a man’s identity as he lies in a coma after a horror crash.
Police are facing an enormous challenge as they try to identify a man struck by a truck in Tamworth, appealing for help as they try to unravel the mystery.
In an attempt to track down the man’s identity, police have shared the only clues they have about who he is in the hopes someone will come forward with information
He’s described as a man of caucasian appearance with brown hair, a moustache and beard.
At the time of the incident he was wearing a black and red jumper, light coloured pants, a cap and work boots.
He was injured when he was hit about 8.10pm on Friday April 14 on Goonoo Goonoo Rd in Tamworth in northern NSW.
Upon arrival, police found the man, believed to be in his 40s.
Paramedics treated him before he was rushed to John Hunter Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Police told NCA NewsWire on Tuesday the man remains “in a serious condition in an induced coma”.
The male truck driver was uninjured and was taken to Tamworth hospital for mandatory testing, and an investigation has been launched into the circumstances around the crash.
