Man drowns at harbourside swimming spot Redleaf Pool at Double Bay

Emergency services pulled a man’s body from the water at a popular swimming spot on Sydney Harbour.

Police are investigating after a man’s body was pulled from the water at a popular swimming spot on Sydney Harbour.

Emergency services rushed to Redleaf Pool on New South Head Rd in Double Bay about 2.30pm on Thursday over concerns for welfare.

Police arrived to find members of the public had pulled the man’s body from the water.

He was treated by paramedics, but died at the scene.

“Police have established a crime scene, and an investigation has commenced into the incident,” a spokesman said.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
