Man dies after Blue Mountains abseiling tragedy
A young man has died after a tragic abseiling accident at a popular NSW tourist destination on Friday morning.
A man has died after falling from a cliff face while abseiling in the NSW Blue Mountains on Friday morning.
Emergency services were called to Malaita Wall in Katoomba shortly before 8am after reports a man had fallen while abseiling.
A specialist group of paramedics attended the scene and attempted to abseil down the wall to retrieve the man’s body.
It’s understood the person was in their 20s.
Malaita Wall is described online as a “breathtaking” 45m drop.
