A man has been charged after detectives seized more than $3 million worth of marijuana, cultivated from enhanced home setups, across Western Sydney and NSW’s Central Coast.

Police images reveal the extent of the sophisticated arrangements, which include hydroponic systems and a makeshift greenhouse.

They show cables from one of the properties spilling across the floor on the upper level, while multiple pipes protrude from the ceiling.

Detectives from the State Crime Command’s Drug and Firearms Squad uncovered the advanced setups at a property on Berecry Road at Mangrove Mountain on Thursday.

The strike force was assisted by officers from Brisbane’s Water Police District.

About 630 marijuana plants – with an estimated street value of $2.2 million – were seized by investigators.

A 25-year-old Parramatta man was arrested at the property.

After further inquiries, two more search warrants were executed at homes on Rosehill Road in Parramatta at 11pm the same night.

Another 230 cannabis plants were seized along with electronic devices and equipment to help cultivate and grow the drugs.

A NSW Police spokesman said the combined estimated potential street value of the marijuana seized was worth more than $3 million.

The 25-year-old, who has been charged with cultivating a prohibited plant, was refused bail at Gosford Local Court on Friday.

He will reappear at the same court on July 23.
