Horror as Service NSW worker stabbed multiple times
A man has been charged over the alleged stabbing of a public servant who was critically wounded in front of colleagues.
A man has been charged after a public servant was left fighting for his life when he was stabbed multiple times in front of horrified workmates.
NSW Police said the 54-year-old Service NSW employee was stabbed in the lower back, chest and shoulder and given initial first-aid by police.
Paramedics treated him before rushing him to St Vincent’s Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery.
He is in a critical condition in the hospital’s intensive care unit.
Horrified workers were seen comforting one another following a shocking attack at the office in Rawson St, Haymarket at 9.20am on Friday.
A 37-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Day Street Police station.
He was charged with wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm on Friday afternoon.
The Punchbowl man was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Saturday.
