School evacuated amid police operation after hoax bomb threat in Castle Hill, Sydney

A high school in Sydney’s northwest has been evacuated after a hoax bomb threat.

A Sydney high school has been evacuated after hoax bomb threat sparked a major police operation.

Emergency services were called to a school on Castle St at Castle Hill in Sydney’s northwest shortly before 10am on Friday.

A NSW police spokesperson confirmed authorities attended the area following phone call with a bomb threat.

The spokesperson said officers have since established the threat to be a hoax.

Students were evacuated as s precaution but were allowed to re-enter the school shortly after 11am.
