Dramatic moment man arrested outside Royal Easter Show
Pictures have captured the moment a 20-year-old man was arrested in front of shocked onlookers at the entrance to the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
A man has been dramatically arrested outside the Sydney Royal Easter Show, with pictures capturing the moment he was wrestled to the ground by police and security in front of shocked patrons.
The wild scenes played out at the entry gates at Sydney Olympic Park on Thursday night.
Photos captured by NCA NewsWire show the man being wrestled to the ground by a female and male officer.
The man was eventually pinned down with the help of a female security guard.
Amid the scuffle a phone fell to the ground, with the 20-year-old man stretching out his arm.
In the background onlookers lined up to be checked by security to be granted entry.
NSW Police said the man was spoken to by officers and inquiries revealed he was wanted due to an outstanding warrant in relation to domestic violence offences.
Police allege that he resisted arrest before he was taken into custody.
“He was taken to Auburn Police Station where the outstanding warrant was executed, and he was refused bail to appear before a court (on Friday),” NSW Police said in a statement.
