Crash at Woodbine in Sydney’s south west kills one man, hospitalises others
A MAN was killed and a number of others injured in a fiery Good Friday crash involving eight cars in Sydney’s southwest.
A MAN was killed and a number of others injured in a fiery Good Friday crash involving at least four cars in Sydney’s southwest.
Emergency services found two of the cars alight after being called to Campbelltown Road at Woodbine just after 7pm.
The man was given CPR at the scene and emergency services attended but he could not be saved.
Others were also injured in the crash and taken to several nearby hospitals via helicopter and road ambulance.
Four cars collided on Campbelltown Rd near Rose Payten Dve, with two of the vehicles catching fire.
Campbelltown Road is closed and diversions are in place until the Crash Investigation Unit examines the scene and the wreckage is removed.
Meanwhile, a 55-year-old man died in hospital following an alleged hit and run at Lightning Ridge, near Bourke.
Just before midday yesterday, police found a man with serious head and pelvic injuries on Three Mile Road. He was taken to the local hospital in a critical condition, thenn airlifted to St George Hospital, where he later died.
